These new style push in air fittings will allow you to slip the line into the fittings without any chance of over tightening like the old style fittings. Old style nut & ferrule type fittings: Over tightening the air fittings will collapse the line and cause a restriction of air flow which will cause slow shifting and grinding of the synchronizer & gears during low to high and high to low range shifting.
