Description: Vintage Watercolor Painting on Paper, Ink Prince of Peace Church, Hiroshima, Japan "And His Name Will Be Called...Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6) Winton Enloe and his wife were a little worried about how the Japanese would accept them when the Presbyterian Board of Missions assigned then to Hiroshima, Japan in 1961. After all, this was the very city in which the United States detonated the first of two nuclear weapons only 16 years earlier. By the time they arrived the city had been completely rebuilt, and the mayor of Hiroshima told them he thought the Japanese would receive them cordially. Together they served as missionaries in Japan from 1961 – 1989. Amazing details, incredible craftsmanship! In good condition, wear due to age, tanned some visible scuffing on paper, right of chopmark; minor tanning (paper) wear and light damage on back as shown wooden frame shows some paint loss, some scuffing / scratches, silk mat with minor age wear; metallic tag shows some scratches approx. 10" x 9" (image) approx. 16" x 15" (frame) Please check the pictures - what you see is what you get.
