HUNT of Leander club for being part of the grand challenge Cup winners team. Inscribed to the front 'Oxford - Royal Regatta - 1860 - Leander Club - Winners of the - Grand Challenge Cup - W. J. Hunt No. 2' In good condition with extensive wear to the plating and a minor bruise to the side. Measures approx 137mm in height Oxford City Regatta gained royal patronage in 1860, when the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII), who was studying at Christ Church at the time, presented the Prince of Wales Challenge Cup for coxless pairs.
