Description: See photos. Serial #P32869 places this machine's manufacture date in 1927. Ribbon is used and for decoration only, but replacement spools are readily available if you want to make it an everyday machine. Fantastic font. All keys work. Tabs work. Carriage return works. Ribbon tape needs adjustment. Bell works great. Tabs function as expected. Mechanical components are free of rust or corrosion except for the slight markings near serial number as shown in picture and look in good shape. With the case, weighs almost 14 pounds. Case is approx 13" x 12.25" x 6" tall. Typewriter locks into place in the case without issue. Missing rear cover plate on typewriter as shown in pic and one rubber foot qnd the leather handle on the case, otherwise all there. Rare early Model P that is relatively hard to find in this good of condition. Own a unique 97 year old piece of craftsmanship and history. Know your model Ps as some sell their typewriter as a 1927 when its actually a 1929. You can tell by the color of the keys and a few other things. The Royal logo on a 1927 is a decal while it is raised on a 1929. The 1927 also has a metal lock that prevents you from accidentally moving the ribbon over to the stencil setting while the 1929 has simplified this with just a slot in the case that accomplishes the same thing. Later model Ps have a covered ribbon while 1927s do not. Sorry no returns or international shipping.
