He fought for the Union Army in the Civil War, was Mayor of Hartford, Governor and Senator of Connecticut. He was enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1937. The Hall of Fame issued these centennial stamps in 1939 and they are RARE. This is the only one available on ebay, or anywhere else for that matter. Please see the attached images.
