Description: Here we have quite a find. "Matt Kelly", founder of King Fish and Rat Dog w Bob Weir and also worked with Grateful Dead for years was the original owner. As you can see he played this guitar a lot, as did other well known artists from that time in the San Fransisco zone. We sold several pieces for him over the years but this is one he held dear. It was in the right place at the right time as Mike Bloomfield also played this D-28 often. It was long ago and Matt did not have pics but still a very cool connection. The guitar has it's original finish and sounds as good as one of these can, leaning more towards a war time or earlier produced model. Beautiful Brazilian Rosewood. Plays perfectly and needs nothing.
