Description: 1979-D Kennedy Half Dollar Error Doubled Die Reverse (DDR) 50C Silver Coin Rare Gem Uncirculated coin. Pristine condition. I have not been able to find any graded examples of an uncirculated 1979-D Kennedy 50C with a Doubled Die on the reverse, which is what I strongly believe this coin to be. I was gifted this coin, among many others of various years and denominations, that belonged to my grandmother. This particular coin was sealed in an air-tight package/encapsulation when I received it. I took it out only for a very short amount of time in order to take the photos you see here in this listing and then I placed it immediately into a BCW 2x2 snap then sealed that snap in an air-tight polypropylene bag with silica packets to keep out moisture, debris, dust, and to prevent oxidation. Class VIII Tilted Hub Doubling is considered a Doubled Die variety based off my exhaustive research on various Doubled Die varieties on U.S. coins. The doubling is most noticeable on the word "HALF" on the reverse but also shows on "UNITED" from what I am able to tell through 5X to 10X magnification. There may as well be other areas of doubling that I did not catch while capturing the photos. I have the coin inside a BCW 2X2 snap that comes with it.
