Description: I am selling off my grandfather's coin collection accumulated over the last 50+ years. All coins, including this one, were purchased directly from the US Mint and come with the Mint's COA as well as original packaging. An American Silver Eagle, also called an ASE by some collectors, is a bullion coin produced by the U.S. mint. Each coin has a declared value of just $1. However, these are bullion coins, which means that each coin has some precious metals in it. All 2010 American Silver Eagle coins have one ounce of pure silver in them. Each one dollar coin has the following text: 2010 – LIBERTY – In God We Trust – United States Of America – E Pluribus Unum – 1 OZ. Fine Silver One Dollar | The design is fairly simple. The front (or obverse) of the coin has Lady Liberty with the sun behind her. The back, which is also called the reverse, shows an eagle, shield, and 13 stars. This proof coin has a W mint mark under the left side of the eagle. The letter W signifies that the proof coin was minted in West Point. Collectors call these 2010-W ASEs. Proof coins are considered more valuable than regular strikes.
