Description: 7'1" x 9'7" ft clean hand knotted antique authentic rug (very early 1900s estimate tabriz). The rug has been professionally cleaned. No stains, tears, holes, animal or smoke. Dark and mid blues, red and earth accents. Over 100 years with some antique wear, repair or variance over the centuries but colorful, durable and valuable for another century. Heirloom old world quality. This special carpet is made of the finest lamb kurk wool and natural vegetable dyes by skilled crafts people. Double tied knots upon two foundation layers for another century of durability around 200 knots per square inch. Rich spectrum of red from pomegranate madder root and vermilion, dark to light blue from indigo grape lilac hyacinth and centaurea cyanus, wheats and tans from larkspur and weld. Natural dyes oxidize over the century giving light and dark shades of each color called 'abrash' by curators, giving lots of tone nuance. See all 21 images. #6103
