Description: This beautiful Edwardian slip is of a fine cotton with shell button back and a wide center panel at high-to-normal waist, under which is a gathered skirting edged in gorgeous lace. There are 'As Is' fixes that need to be made to this pretty piece if it were to be worn. The lace hem has a few places where the lace is torn (example, final photo) and those places should be neatened up, and two of the five shell buttons are missing at the back. There is a place at the back of the armhole (ninth photo) where there is damage and the fix for that would be to over-patch it in white hanky cotton. I do show this slip with two different cummerbunds or belts and they are not included. It is unlikely it was originally worn with any belting although it could certainly be done now with excellent effect. Measures 40 bust, 38 waist (with no belt,) and open hips due to the many cartridge pleats at the waist. 41 inches in length.I cannot accept returns on antique items, so please check your measurements and ask any questions prior to purchase, thanks.
