Description: This is tin over wood. Not sure how this operated. I'm thinking the wood with no advertising was moved back to make a box for storage. The inside you can see is angle for the snuff boxes to roll down. On the sides you can see in the wood where the snuff would roll down and stop. It's cut to the size of the roll. This was located in a farm and was used as storage after it's use in a store. The Lids on the front lifters up exposing the inside. It has dents and dings and surface rust especially on the backside. Dimensions are in the pics also 11 1/2" across 11 1/4" deep and 8 7/8" high. You can see the hinge on top isn't broken but needs some TLC. It goes back in places but pops back out. This is in rough shape but i don't think you will ever find another. The new owner can bring the the front piece of wood with no advertising forward again. I won't touch it. I'm sure their was advertising on this wood piece also but long lost. 95% is still here . I looked up the snuff box on the net. This snuff box looks like it was this design from the turn of the century until the 1920s. I can't find another counter display like this anywhere on the world wide web.
