Description: A very elegant antique original Victorian 1880's blue silk visiting dress. The bodice sleeves and front insert are made of blue and white stripe silk. The lapels are made of solid blue and edged with the stripe fabric. The bodice has a high neck collar. It is lined with cotton and has a side hook and eye closure. The inside lining is missing the hook and eye closure. The skirt has a back train and is lined with cotton. The dress is in very good condition. There is one tiny hole in one sleeve and some minor underarm discoloration. The skirt has 4 tiny holes and an age spot on one hip area and a few tiny holes in the front insert that are only noticeable when held up to the light .
