Description: Good antique French Palais Royal watch display, holder, made from a massive and beautiful natural snail shell with ormolu setting. The inside is silk sating and velvet. This piece is mid-1800s. There is no maker's mark, which a typical for many pieces sold in the Palais Royal. It is quite clearly of this era. Dimensions: The diameter is 3" and the height is 3.25". The shell is 1.7" high and 2.75" wide.
