Description: O, sweet summer child . . . ! Absolutely beautiful antique, one-of-a-kind photographic portrait of a young child wearing a lovely crown of flowers. By an unknown, but clearly talented photographer -- very much matching the style of Julia Margaret Cameron. Print is studio signed with stamp on reverse: "Enlargement by / Howland & Dewey Co. / Eastman Kodak Co. / 510 S. Broadway, L.A.", which dates the enlargement roughly to the 1920 (I believe), but the original negative could be older. Howland & Dewey Co. primarily served the theatrical industry in the area, so the sitter is perhaps a child actor...? This is a large format sepia-toned gelatin silver print 8 x 11 inch photo in original wood frame under antique glass. Overall good condition, as pictured. Some yellowing to mount; staining to reverse; minor scuffs, scratches, etc. to frame. Displays beautifully. A rare, timeless photographic portrait. FAST & FREE SHIPPING! 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK!
