Description: Belgian Advertising Calendar from 1922 for Coffee Roaster and Cafe, 12 x 8 inches, die cut cardboard embossed and lithographed, no manufacturer but “No. 2008” in lower right corner, advertising on tablecloth “Stoomkoffiebranderif, De Zon”, advertising in bottom panel “Maurice Petitjean-Sanders, Leopold 11 Laan, 35 – Brugge, Telephoon 230”, attached calendar for 1922, very minor stain on back, minor wear to edges along with minor soiling to front, small bit of paper stuck to one sleeve, tiny damage to blue finish next to arm, wrinkle to December page where it has slipped down from the glue spot of the pad to the backing, pad is still intact, hanging hole at the top, a wonderful and colorful advertising calendar with hints of Art Nouveau in the design but an image of a woman in traditional clothing, there is a 3 D affect with a separate die cut cardboard piece of the table and the arms holding a cup and saucer that is attached to the main piece by a cardboard hinge that folds flat, the calendar is printed in European style with vertical numbering and an initial for the day followed by the Saint for that day, the colors are bright, the image outstanding, nice early European coffee advertising.
