Description: 11 1/2" X 2 1/4" X 10" hardcovered Lippincott leather album with brass closures. The front cover is off. Outside binding cover is cracked and separated from the binding. Binding is intact. Some wear around entire edges outside. Hinges work great and are solid. There is an "Index to Portraits" that is filled out. It is a little hard to read. Good handwriting but on the light side. Last four 157 Lincoln family, 158 Red Riding Hood, 159 Aunt Martha, 160 Uncle George which are pictures of Martha and George Washington. These are not included in the 147 picture totals. One of the first tintypes is on the second page of a boy with flat top hat. On that page also is a colored sash on a baby girl. I can't get the pictures out without ripping the enclosures. Looks like a lot of the pictures were taken in NY. There are 13 tin and 6 colored, I believe. Some of the pictures are shiny and look like tin but I believe are paper. There is a 3 cent George Washington Inter. Rev. Proprietary stamp in there too. It is interesting to look at the pictures and actually having name too. Weighs close to 7 lbs. prior to packaging. Any questions, ask. Check out the pictures as they are part of the description. If you see or don’t see something, please ask for clarification. If buying multiple items, please let me know so I can try to ship together, otherwise it will cost you more if I don’t see and send separately. Please check out my other items for sale.
