Thank you for your interest. collector description: Civil War flag eagle and tassels were purchased from Mike Eckard in 1995. He bought these two items from an “older lady” whose name he believed was Danridge or Danbridge in 1970 whose grandfather had been with an Ohio regiment during the Civil War. She said that he had saved the tassels and eagle from his unit flag when the staff had been destroyed at Fredericksburg. The tassels and eagle passed to her from her mother. Based on the color of the tassels I believe both of these items belonged to a Veteran regiment. I think Ohio had two Veteran units at Fredericksburg.
