Description: This GORGEOUS cotton 1870's / 1880's touching stars / "kite" quilt is all treadle machine pieced and hand quilted, with a cinnamon pink background.It measures 76" X 88" and is in excellent, never washed condition, with a couple of small, inconspicuous spots and no wear. The quilt feels strong and sturdy overall. There are rainbow designs quilted throughout at 7-8 stitches to the inch, with faint pencil marks still visible in places. The back is off white, the machine stitched binding is pink, and the batting is thin. The quilt came out of the Summit County, Ohio area. This WELL EXECUTED 19th century MASTERPIECE in GREAT CONDITION has everything going for it -- it's even more impressive in real life!
