Description: Cooling Fan for Collins KWM-2 and S-line Transmitters Cooling Fan for Collins KWM-2 and S-line Transmitters Description You are buying a NEW cooling fan and pcb designed to mount internally on the PA cage of the Collins KWM-2/2A and S-Line transmitters. The fan is a 80mm (3.2") square 12vdc powered from the 6.3vac filament supply, rectified with 1N4007 diodes and uses 2- 470uf 35v caps in a voltage doubler circuit built into the pcb as shown. Power can be taken from: (1) socket J24 pins 8 and 9 if you have or can find a 9 pin plug, or (2) use the meter light socket and hook up the cable there, or (3) use the rear 6.3vac RCA jack, or (4) on the KWM-2/A use the chassis Q-muiltiplier RCA jack after removal of the coupling cap and then wiring filament voltage from pin 8 of J24. A twisted pair of teflon wire is included for you to hook up whichever option you choose. No RCA male jack is included. The 80mm NMB fan will circulate approx 34cfm of air, which can be varied with the speed control trim pot. The single fan in general moves more air than a twin 60mm fan assembly.
