If you need any other length or width contact us. We will be glad to cut to your specification. EXAMPLE: If your metal platen is 10” long and your safety shelf is 3/4”, then your ceramic glass platen should be no longer than 9 1/4”. We can cut any size you need. Just let us know with the Contact Seller. A small Steel Shelf (approximately 1/2" x 1") installed to support your glass platen is a must. This is Neo-Ceram. A ceramic fireplace glass. Nearly three times that of tempered glass. Provides a smoother, longer lasting platen. Mount this to your belt sander platen using J B Weld or 2 pieces of double sided high strength tape. There are several excellent You Tube videos (glass platen) for mounting instructions. HINT: If you use good, strong, double sided carpet tape, the platen can be carefully removed with acetone. Soak from the top and carefully pry with a putty knife until tape releases. This is especially useful if one side of platen is chipped. It can be reversed. A small steel shelf installed to support your glass platen is a must. These instructions are also included in the You Tube videos. NOTE: MEASURE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU ORDER.
