This style watch is mean for rugged and reliable every day use and is water and shock resistant, and anti-magnetic. The watch was designed in Canada, and each watch is individually assembled in La Chaux De-Fond, Switzerland. Marathon specializes in building watches for the United States Armed Forces and this particular watch was manufactured in accordance with military specification MIL-PRF-46374G, Type 1, Class 1. It features drilled lug holes, Arabic numerals, and secondary 24-hr markers with MaraGlo luminescent paint on time indices, hour and minute dials. The luminescence is bright at night as shown in the attached picture from this particular watch and is designed to last 8 hours after being charged from external light during daytime use. The manufacturer stated accuracy is -0.3 to +0.5 seconds per day and it utilizes a high torque quartz movement (Swiss-made F06.115 three jewel quartz movement). The movement features an End of Life indicator for accurate timekeeping. The replacement battery is a 371 watch battery or equivalent. The watch has never been used beyond removing from the case, setting the time to US Eastern standard time and pushing in the crown to confirm operation.
