This collection contains postage stamps from NEWFOUNDLAND, 45 DIFFERENT, mostly used, and is a comprehensive introduction to philately for this country. The stamps in this collection go to the late 1940s, Newfoundland joined with Canada at that time and Canadian stamps were used thereafter. Also, this is not a commercial 'packet', but rather a collection from our stock built over a 60-year period, hence, once sold, it cannot be duplicated. The stamps shown in the photo are from the actual collection, if any information is desired we invite your inquiry.This collection is prepared for the stamp collector, and all of the stamps are listed in the Scott standard catalog. As part of the former British Commonwealth, these stamps contain varieties (all Scott listed) created as a result of varying printing and production methods. As a result, some similar appearing stamps are included, but they are different major catalog numbers due to perforation change, or, the use of different watermarked paper, or, reissue of the stamp. The overall quality and value of the collection is very high, including dollar values and above -- it has been screened for the removal of damaged stamps and they are clean of paper remnants. This collection is ready for immediate use and placement into your albums. However, we do ask for your understanding in one regard. There is a tremendous amount of time and effort required to assemble this type of comprehensive collection, and a damaged or a heavily cancelled stamp will on occasion be missed, or, the count could be high or low by a few stamps -- this is all possible when dealing in such large numbers of stamps. Although unlikely, this could happen, and would not change the overall value to warrant returning the unit. Collections are not returnable as it would not be possible to guarantee high quality without going through the entire collection once again.
