The vessel, which has no keel, was fashioned of entirely welded steel channels, or U beams. Her holds are of pure nickel and she can thus haul acids and lyes which would corrode other containers. The ship, ribless and rivetless, will have an ocean-going deckhouse bolted on while in New York, and will then put out to sea for ocean trafficking. She is 300 feet long, draws 20 feet of water when loaded and is powered by twin-screw diesels.Photo measures 9 x 7inches. Photo is dated --None.
