Description: This rare set of 12 building spoons was produced in the United States in 1939 for the World's Fair in New York. The spoons feature intricate designs representing different countries and regions of the world. The spoons were produced by Wm. Rogers and are a complete set. The spoons are 6 inches long. The buildings that are depicted are *Textile Building *Railroad Transportation Building *Administration Building *New York State Amphitheater *Aviation Building *Hall of Medicine and Public Health *Food Exhibition Building *Consumer Interests Building *Georgian Section in Court of The States Building *New York City Exhibit Building *Marine Transportation Building *United States Government Building I remember my parents and others of their generation talking about the wonders of the fair from the depictions of life 50 years from then to live radio broadcasts of concerts and dignitaries. There was a broadcaster from WOR who did make overs of ladies with the aid of a Hollywood Makeup Artist and suggested outfits. I wonder how that was brought out with just audio! Her husband [Pegeen and Ed Fitzgerald] did several daily broadcast under the name of Worlds Fair Eddie. A different time.
