Description: A bold and unusual still life painting by Filipino American artist Sergon. A realistic painting of Pueblo Indian pottery is set into a trompe l'oeil arrangement of borders and backgrounds, the central artwork 'tacked' to the wall and the illusion dissolving at its edges. An intriguing and highly original work that plays with illusion and representation, tradition and modernity... and pulled off with a very skillful hand.
