If anyone saw this at a convention or can find info on the giveaway please message me… The seller told me his sister won this replica and they received it with “weathering” As you see the ship was made to look “weathered” His sister was a volunteer at conventions in early 2000’s Seller told me they used glue to do the effect…… I am speculating that this ship was defective and returned to Unobtainium Ltd …. Then repaired and weathering added to hide a defect or glue stains….. Seller is looking through a room full of Star Trek collectables from the conventions his sister attended to see if there is a box or paperwork that came with this ship. The company offered 150 Deluxe models with lights and sound that sold out quickly Most of them sagged and drooped and split and were returned Most customers did not get replacements or money back Unobtainium Ltd sold these in 2001 and by 2002 had ceased production for “retooling” They planned on making 2500 in total but did not even come close to that with the defective resin… I had to use the wayback machine and internet archive to find the old website for information… Please see photos for info The ship could use restoration but the story and history is also of value. A lot of controversy about the company and unsatisfied customers in blogs online This was the first ever licensed replica for sale and shown in Star Trek magazine Deluxe models came with autographs but this Standard model has no info on bottom The ship had the engines reglued and should be worked on to be straight with the hull. Not a great job with glue and looks like Gorilla glue or a foam like glue Excess glue can be seen in photo and some marks where it was removed With straight nacelles it would really improve the ship…. All parts are there and intact. It has a wood base screwed to bottom No markings on bottom This base is different than the ones in the photos they advertised for sale…. The embossed lettering on the base is black but in the third photo it shows a silver square with lettering on the base …….see third photo please Ship will pull out of base and there is room for wires if it was restored with lights..
