Reserved for records that look like they came out of the sleeve for the first time or close to it. No scratches.Very Good ++ (VG++) - As close to perfect condition as you can get. The lightest scuff and/or discoloration to vinyl will automatically get a VG++ grade. Might have a tiny hairline that DNAP (do not affect play) Very Good + (VG+) - A couple light scratches and scuffs, but the listening experience is still very nice. An occasional light pop or crackle may occur. Cover may have a defect or two (a cutout, for instance) but is otherwise very nice. Right in the middle of the grading graph. A perfectly acceptable, nice copy. Very Good (VG) - Scratches/scuffs are more prominent, so surface noise is more frequent. Cover has many signs of human handling. These are decent and NOT beater records. Very Good - (VG-) Scratches/scuffs are even more prominent, so surface noise is more frequent. Cover has many signs of human handling. Will have issues - splits, heavy wear. Records will be priced accordingly. Bad shape but maybe not to the point of just tossing out. Good (G)- Plays without skipping, but has significant surface noise. Cover imperfections are distracting. In rough shape. Generally, will only use this grade if it's a desirable record and it will be priced accordingly.
