Description: First things first... THIS IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION BUT NOT MINT CONDITION Please see the pictures and read the description... if you have any questions, please ask. I can send more photos if requested. Just let me know what you're looking for. The jeep barely moves at all. I put 2 'D' batteries in it and switched it on. The gun fires and makes noise/light and you can hear and see the 'hidden' driving wheels turning, but when I set it down, it struggled to move more than an inch or two, though you see it trying. T.N made jeep toys out of tin from the 50's to the 70's before moving to die cast. Since the soldiers on this Jeep are rubber (versus tin), i suspect this was made in the late 60's possibly up to the early 70's. This RANGER JEEP is about 10.5" long, 4.5" wide, and 6" tall to the top of the gunners head Overall, the tin is in pretty great condition considering its age, though the box has seen better days. There is some rust near the battery compartment. The front wheels spin freely (the back Wheels do not spin, they're just for show). The bottom has 'hidden' wheels to make it move. Some of the areas where the tin is folded over has a little separation, but no breaks that i can see. The solders appear to be rubber (not plastic) as you can squeeze them and bounce back to their original shape. Overall, this is an amazing piece that could probably be made like new with just a few adjustments. Below is a brief history of Nomura Toy Industrial Co., Ltd. (T.N) of Tokyo Japan (stolen from another website): Nomura Toy Industrial Co., Ltd. of Tokyo, Japan, also known at TN, was one of the biggest and most prolific of all postwar Japanese toy makers. Nomura is believed to have manufactured toys from the late 1940s through the 1970s. The letters T.N within the diamond logo means that the company is often referred to as TN or Toys Nomura. A wide range of tinplate toys had this logo emblazoned on its boxes whilst its later die cast toys simply featured Nomura toy on their boxes. Please see the pictures and let me know if you have any questions.
