Description: What a fun piece this is! It is painted in really wonderful paint, and features the holy family. The piece features a light behind some roses, with an on-off switch on the side. It is VERY heavy and solid, made from "chalk", often called chalkware. What it REALLY is is... plaster! It is marked on the back 1980 with the initials of the person who made it. It is really nicely done, with lovely features on the Holy Family. The cord is in good condition, as well. There is a few paint chips, see photos. It is large, standing about 12" tall and is about 8-1/2” across. It is a beautiful folk art or religious piece, and really stunning. It was originally created as a television light - yes, large pieces like this were displayed and used on tops of televisions! It makes a really great room or bedroom night light. It won't disappoint.
