Description: This is a vintage shirt dress by S.Roberts. It has no shoulder pads, so it can't be 1980's. It has more of a 1950's feel, but I don't know this brand. I also can't find any information on it via a search engine. It has a spread collar, four large mauve colored buttoning buttons down the front of the bodice, 1.5" wide fold over cuffs on the short sleeves, one hip pocket on each side seam, a bit of volume to the skirt, one inverse pleat on each side of the buttons from the waist up, and there is a hook and thread loop at the waistline. Shoulder seam to shoulder seam is 16", bust is 42", waist is 31", and length is 52". Frock is marked a size 11/12. Fabric content is 100% rayon. The fabric is covered in a variety of flowers, and all the colors are nice and bright. I did look at a chart of clothing sizes over time. My best guess is that this dress is from the 1990's. If it was from the 50's, the marked size would be larger than 11/12. Overall, magical mystery date S.Roberts day daytime event shower church dress is in excellent vintage condition.
