Description: In the 1920s and 1930s hand washing light linens and towels was a thing! A rack like this was used for hanging the items to dry. Now, this type of antique (modern, at the time) rack is used for extra towels, or to display antique linens and things. It is a cool rack, and easy to make. This is one of the early Easi-Bild patterns. Easi-Bild started their company in 1938. The pattern doesn't say what the dimensions are when complete, but it does say that the dowels are about 23" across. Since the pattern is full-size, I measured the side, and its about 32". So I would guess that the finished piece is ABOUT 23" by 32", with the depth measuring 7". Please don't live or die by my measurements; I am very spatially challenged! The piece was meant to fit with traditional American traditional, and looks a bit Early American.
